Martin G. Deptula



After graduating from law school, Mr. Deptula worked as an associate at Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP in Albany, New York where he acquired significant litigation and appellate experience in a wide range of complex commercial matters. While at Boies, Schiller & Flexner, he was instrumental in resolving a multimillion dollar subrogation claim brought by an insurance carrier against manufacturers of washing machine hoses and component part suppliers. In 2008, Marty and his family relocated to Tampa, Florida, where he accepted a position with the law firm of Zuckerman Spaeder LLP. While at Zuckerman Spaeder he practiced in the areas of white collar criminal defense and complex commercial litigation. Prior to attending law school, Marty worked for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, where he gained property and casualty experience as a claims adjuster.

Mr. Deptula joined the Firm in January 2012 and continues to practice in various areas of civil defense litigation including motor vehicle liability, uninsured motorist claims, wrongful death, trucking defense and fraud litigation.

Marty has extensive experience in the area of electronic discovery and served as a committee member for the Seventh Circuit Electronic Discovery Pilot Program.

Marty recently served as committee member for the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts and is an active supporter of youth athletics. He has coached basketball at the Northwest Hillsborough Family YMCA and little league baseball with Keystone Little League.
